Profile

Born on December 30, 1988, Dolar Mahmud is a right arm fast medium bowler who represented the Bangladesh U-19 squad with little success. Fast-tracked into the national squad for the 2008 Asia Cup, Mahmud struggled against the big boys from the sub-continent getting smashed for 118 runs in just 11 overs from the big three. It was no surprise to see him dropped. He returned a year later to demolish the Zimbabwean top-order in a spell of 4/28 to earn his first man of the match award.

But two ordinary outings against the same opposition at home in Nov 2009 saw him go out of favour with the selection committee and he has not been able to make a comeback since then.

Dolar played for the Khulna Royal Bengals in the Bangladesh Premier league.
