West Indies
A leg spinner, who is also a competent batsman lower down the order, Mahendra Nagamootoo made his Test debut for West Indies nearly 5 years after his maiden first-class appearance. He was more known as a honest trier rather than a spitting turner. He figured in 5 Tests and 24 ODIs taking 12 and 18 wickets respectively before being dumped from the international scene. However, he was the fulcrum around which the Guyana bowling revolved until 2007.
