West Indies
An off spinning all-rounder, Ryan Hurley made his First Class debut for Barbados in 1995/96. He toiled hard with only modest success to show for. Deeply upset after being dropped from the Barbados team, Hurley made up his mind to quit first-class cricket.
He came back strongly though warranting a place in the West Indies ODI team on the back of some resurgent bowling coupled with sharp fielding. He was no muck with the bat either. Hurley played 9 ODIs for West Indies between 2003 and 2004 before being cast away into the wilderness. He was an economical bowler but lacked the ability to take wickets on a consistent basis.
