Danza Hyatt

West Indies

Profile

Born on March 17, 1983, is a Jamaican cricketer. A right handed batsman and an occasional medium pace bowler, Hyatt made his first class debut for West Indies 'B' against Kenya in January 2004.

Reasonable performances at domestic level earned him a call-up to the national squad for the home ODI series against India in 2011. He has shown a penchant for hitting sixes as his four hits into the stands during his brief knock of 39 against Bangladesh testifies.

He has made fleeting appearances for West Indies in limited overs cricket but has failed to carve out a permanent slot in the side. He was a key member of the Jamaica Tallawahs team, which clinched the title in the maiden season of the CPL. In 9 encounters, he struck 145 runs at an average of 29.00, starring in charming cameos lower down the order. His lusty hitting prowess did not miss the eyes of BPL franchise, Rangpur Riders.
