Profile

A skiddy fast bowler and a capable lower-order batsman, Ncube was born in Bulawayo and started off playing street cricket in the Gwabalanda township. He went to the Milton High School and worked his way into the Westerns different age-group teams.

Ncube evolved as an effective all-rounder and his consistent performances fetched him a place in the Zimbabwe Under-19 World Cup squad in 2008. His tryst with switching clubs started when he moved to Mountaineers but returned to Matabeleland Tuskers after a couple of seasons. He enjoyed a successful 2010/11 season which saw him getting selected for the national side in the same year against the Kiwis.

He made his debut in the third ODI where he picked up 3 wickets in his maiden outing and the selectors drafted him into the Test side. He couldn't carry his rich vein of form and was eventually dropped from the team.

In 2016, he was included in the Zimbabwe A squad for the unofficial Test series against Pakistan A.
