Profile

The elder of the twin Baba brothers, Indrajith is an all-rounder who bats in the middle-order and is a very useful leg-break bowler as well. Having made his first-class debut during the 2013-14 season, Indraith belongs to the old school of batting, having blossomed under the guidance of players like Abhinav Mukund, Murali Vijay, Subramanium Badrinath and Dinesh Karthik.

While Indrajith has the range of shots and can be aggressive at times, his lack of presence at the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been a hindrance towards achieving higher honours, although he remains part of the fringes, owning to his ability to make big runs. He was called up for the India Green team in the 2018-19 Duleep Trophy and celebrated it with a century in the very first match. He eventually finished as the leading run-scorer for the team.
