Profile

Petrus van Biljon is a seasoned campaigner in first class cricket with over a decade of experience. A right-handed batsman who started his career with Northens at the age of 21. van Biljon has represented Free State which also forms the Knights cricket team.

van Biljon is also a wicket-keeper but has hardly donned the gloves for the sides he has played. It is his contribution in the middle order that is far more recognizable, over 4500 runs in the longer formats with an average of 40 and a highest of 215 not out, van Biljon has been a key member of his domestic side.

However, the leap to the next level has never come. With South Africa's middle order filled with talented batsmen, van Biljon has found it difficult to break into the national side. The upcoming T20 Global league in South Africa gives him the chance to announce himself to the world. He was picked up by Benoni Zalmi during the draft.
