Christiaan Jonker - South Africa - Batsman

A first-class career spanning over a decade, Jonker's quest for runs started when he made his debut for North West in the 2006/07 season. Since then, he has played 69 matches amassing over 4000 runs at an average of 39.11.

He began his List A career with the Warriors in 2012/13 and showcased his pyrotechnics in T20s as well as the 50-over format. Jonker has also been dominant in leagues in the UK. He turned up for Bristol and Somerset Division - blasting 988 runs at an astounding average of 99.80. He unleashed his inner talent with the ball by claiming 39 wickets at 15.87 and capped it off as the sixth highest wicket-taker in the league. Despite being in the circuit for a long time, he is yet to get a big break as far as the call-up to the national side is concerned.

He has found a new lease of life in 2017 signing up for the Jo'burg Giants in the inaugural edition of the Global T20-league.
