Mitch Santner | New Zealand captain: Bit scratchy but happy with the win. The pleasing thing is different guys stepping up at different times. It's always a challenge when you are up against a side that bats so deep. We should have got 190. But the way the guys started and Ish in the middle - it was nice to watch. (on Jamieson) KJ has done it twice in a row. This should help for we could be in a similar position in the T20 World Cup and he might have to do it again. The problem is if he is so good doing this, then he might have to keep doing it.
Shai Hope | West Indies captain: If you take it to the last over, you are always in the contest but unfortunately we couldn't finish it off. (on Springer) He's known as a death-over specialist. He's known to come in and restrict the opposition with the ball, happy that he could fire with the bat along with Romario.
Ish Sodhi | Player of the Match: It’s been nice to come in and contribute over the last couple of games. It’s always special playing here at Saxton Oval - the wicket’s probably a bit drier than what we’re used to in New Zealand, so there’s definitely a bit there for the spinners. You could see that today with us bowling ten overs of spin. (working on lately) I think it’s just about rhythm. You bowl ten-over spells in the Ford Trophy, get into that groove. In T20s here in New Zealand, especially early in the season, you can sometimes go two or three weeks without bowling in a game. So, getting that consistency in my run-up and release has been really helpful - that’s something I’ll keep building on. (another thriller) Absolutely. The heart rate’s been up there! The crowd’s been amazing, and the West Indies have such power in that lower-middle order. It’s been great entertainment all series. Nice to be on the winning side today, and hopefully we can do something similar tomorrow.
16:51 Local Time, 03:51 GMT, 09:21 IST: Yet another tremendous fightback but twice in two games, West Indies have fallen short. The all-too familiar collapse and no-one staying long enough hurt West Indies. Duffy and Sodhi outstanding as they did the damage to leave West Indies at 68/6 and 88/8. When the game looked to be done, the strength in West Indies' batting lineup showed as Shepherd and Springer added 78 for the 9th wicket. When they were ahead, a sharp catch sent Springer back and again Jamieson held his nerve to win it for New Zealand against the rampaging Shepherd. West Indies would feel with a little bit more common sense batting from the top and middle order, they should already be winning this series. Instead they trail 1-2. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...
