Rohit Yadav Pulled Out of India U19 Squads After Age Discrepancies; Two Replacements Named

India's Under-19 squad for the upcoming home series against Australia has been revised after leg-spinner Rohit Yadav was withdrawn because of discrepancies in his age-related records.

The Junior Cricket Committee has named Aryan Savsani of the Saurashtra Cricket Association as Rohit's replacement in the One-Day squad, while Haryana's Tanmay Baloda has been added to the Multi-Day side.

Rohit had originally been selected for India's U19 assignments against Australia, which include both One-Day and Multi-Day fixtures. However, the BCCI confirmed that he has now been removed from both squads following scrutiny of his age documents.

The timing of the action is particularly notable because Rohit had recently been part of India's successful U19 tour of Sri Lanka.

Australia Series Now Without Rohit

Rohit was initially included in India's squads for the home series against Australia U19. The assignment features three One-Day matches followed by two four-day fixtures.

The One-Day games will be played in Rajkot on September 18, 21 and 23, while the Multi-Day matches are scheduled for September 27-30 in Rajkot and October 5-8 in Ahmedabad.

Aryan Savsani Gets One-Day Opportunity

Saurashtra leg-spinner Aryan Savsani has been selected to replace Rohit in the One-Day squad.

Savsani now becomes part of a squad led by Lakshya Raichandani, with Yashbardhan Chauhan serving as vice-captain. The squad also contains several young players who have already gained attention at the domestic level.

Tanmay Baloda Added To Multi-Day Team

Haryana's Tanmay Baloda has been brought into the Multi-Day squad as Rohit's replacement.

The four-day side will be captained by Yashbardhan Chauhan, with Lakshya Raichandani serving as his deputy. The change gives Baloda an opportunity to make his mark in a longer-format international youth assignment.

He was the leading run-scorer in the two-match four-day series, accumulating 307 runs at an average of 153.50. His performances included a huge 207 in Galle followed by an unbeaten century in Colombo.

Raichandani has also already gained experience in senior first-class cricket. He has played four first-class matches and scored 223 runs, including three half-centuries.

His form and experience will make him one of India's key batting figures during the upcoming Australia assignment.

Other Players Impressed In Sri Lanka

Several other members of the current India U19 group also produced impressive performances on the Sri Lanka tour.

Sagar Virk scored 134 in the opening four-day game, while Manal Chauhan and Kushagra Ojha contributed 150 and 111 respectively in the second match. Their performances have strengthened the depth available to the junior national team.

Aaryavir Sehwag And Anvay Dravid Included

The updated One-Day squad also includes Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid, the sons of former India captains Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid.

Anvay was part of the India U19 squad that toured Sri Lanka in July and scored 87 in the second One-Day match. He is one of two wicketkeeping options in the revised squad alongside Rajat Baghel.
