Profile Summary
Saad Nasim, the Lahore-lad, is an all-rounder who made the world look at him during the 2014 Champions League T20 (CLT20), with his consistent bold style of play. He amassed 207 runs in 6 games at an average of 41.4 in the series for Lahore Lions. After his fruitful CLT20 season, he was given a chance to make his international debut in the one-off T20I against Australia (in 2014).
His early cricketing days were spent under the able guidance of Aleem Dar who was coach/mentor for Nasim. Although, it took a while to make his ODI debut, he failed to establish his spot in the side. Nasim has an impressive track record as an all-rounder in the domestic arena.
While his area of strength lies in batting, he is more than a handy leg-spinner who has the ability to provide breakthroughs.A few cricket enthusiasts in Pakistan affirm that Saad Nasim, if he can keep his consistency, could be a possible future replacement for Shahid Afridi.
