Uncanny, unorthodox and quirky are the methods which define Tanmay Agarwal - the T20 batsman. His strike rate in excess of 130 in the shortest format tells you he has the power game. But then at the first-class level, he knows how to grind and graft for runs. His strike rate in the whites is perspiring hard to stay in the 40s.
His exploits in the inter-state T20 tourneys in the last two seasons forced Sunrisers to have a look at him before IPL XI. He peeled off 250 runs at a strike rate of 162.33 in the 2016-17 season and in 2017-18, Agarwal carved out 151 runs from 5 games but again with an impressive strike rate of more than 145.
