Profile Summary
Tagged as the unluckiest cricketer to have ever played for Zimbabwe, Roy is a right-hand batsman and an off-break bowler. Born in a family of sportsmen, Roy's brothers - Innocent and Knowledge - are cricketers. Hailing from Chegutu, a small town in the Mashonaland West Province, he is a seasoned campaigner having made his First-class debut for the Centrals in 2009.
After years of hard work and growing leaps and bounds in the domestic arena, Roy was finally picked for the national team for the tour of Pakistan in 2015. He made his ODI debut in a rain-curtailed third game and strangely, never got a chance to display his talent - neither with the ball nor the bat. For reasons best known to the Zimbabwe selectors, he faced the axe and faded away into the darkness.
