Profile Summary
One of the plethora of young talents from South Africa, Yassar is an useful all-rounder, who hails from the Cape Province. Educated at St Stithians school, his passion for the game started at a young age.
Cook laddered his way through the provincial and age-groups level for the Gauteng. 2010/11 was his promising year where he finished second in the batting charts in Coke Week tournament. Interestingly, Quinton de Kock and Keaton Jennings were his team-mates. His fine numbers with the bat fetched him a first-class debut for Gauteng in March 2012. After that, Cook hasn't made an impact as he would've liked till now.
