Profile Summary
Hailing from Trinidad and Tabago, Amit Jaggernauth, has been a regular face in the West Indies domestic setup. He finished as the second highest wicket-taker of Carib Beer Cup, thus earning his maiden call up to the national team for the series against Sri Lanka in 2008. Pipped by Sulieman Benn, he did not make to the starting XI and had to wait for a few more months for his maiden appearance. His Test debut came against the Aussies in May 2008 at Jamaica.
Struggling to cope up with the international pressure, the offie leaked 96 runs, while gaining a solitary wicket. Sadly that was his only appearance on the biggest stage. He continued to spin T&T to several crucial wins though. In April 2014, he announced his retirement from top flight cricket as the joint highest wicket-getter (265 wickets) in Trinidad and Tobago history.
