An aggressive opening batsman, Hiten Dalal made his debut in Ranji Trophy 2018-19 and in his first ever innings, the youngster played a prominent knock of 79. An innings that consisted of 10 boundaries and three maximums, Dalal's attacking mindset got Delhi off to a fantastic start against Himachal Pradesh as he had a strike rate of nearly 90. In the very next match against Hyderabad, Dalal raised the bar for himself as he scored 93 and turned out to be the highest run scorer for Delhi in that fixture.
Hiten's List-A numbers aren't bad either as he averages in excess of 40 in the format. In February 2018, the right handed top order batsman scored three fifty-plus scores in a row against Uttar Pradesh, Tripura and Maharashtra respectively. Hence he features in the playing XI regularly for Delhi these days.
