Profile Summary

Slow left-arm orthodox spinner by profession, Callum Parkinson's first-class debut came at the age of 19 the same club he represents now - against Leicestershire. The Specsavers County Championship Division Two match was played at Leicester, and Parkinson bagged four wickets in the first innings, while three in the second one. Apart from taking seven wickets on debut, Parkinson also played a notable knock of 48* which consisted of five boundaries and a maximum.

Due to his inspiring performance on debut and the performances that followed next, Parkinson was signed by Leicestershire. Since his signing by the club, his consistency has only got better. In addition, he bagged three trophies in 2017 during the end of the season award, as he had claimed 10 wickets in one of the matches against Worcestershire at New Road. In the T20 Blast, Parkinson usually bowls in the powerplay and is one of the strike bowlers for Leicestershire. Callum's brother Matthew represents Lancashire. In the past, the twins have played club cricket at Urmston in the Cheshire League and they became the first twins to represent Staffordshire.
