Profile Summary
19-year-old represented Australia in the last edition of the Under19 World Cup where he played a pivotal role for the team in the pace bowling department of a young Australian team. Known for his pace and due to a strong physique, Bartlett earned a Rookie contract with Queensland in 2017-18 and he has represented the Queensland Under23s on number of occasions since then. Xavier made his List A debut playing for the National Performance Squad against India A. It would have been a good experience for the young pacer against the likes of talented Indian batsmen in the form of Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya in his List-A debut match.
Playing for Cricket Australia XI in the Matador One-Day Cup in 2016, the speedster bagged the important wicket of veteran Michael Klinger but his team lost the match as Western Australia chased down a stiff target of 150-odd in the 14th over. The young bowler has played for the Queensland Under19 and Under 23 teams. His first class debut for Queensland came in 2019 and he was picked up by the Brisbane Heat for the 2020/21 season.
