Profile Summary
An aspiring all-rounder, Naeem Hasan is earmarked as the future prospect from Bangladesh. Right-hand bat and a useful off-break bowler, Naeem hails from Chittagong.
He began his First-Class career with the Chittagong Division in the National Cricket League. Courtesy of his exploits, the youngster was promoted to play for Islami Bank East Zone in the Bangladesh Cricket League.
He transformed into a fine all-rounder and was soon rewarded by finding a place in the Bangladesh U-19 squad for the Asia cup. He was the leading wicket-taker for his team in the tournament. Mehedi Hasan's inclusion in the Bangladesh ODI squad meant that Naeem replaced him in the Emerging cup tournament.
Chittagong Kings showed faith on the youngster by picking him in the 2017 BPL player draft. While he is seen as a utility player for shorter formats, it's in Test cricket that Nayeem made his international debut and has featured in a handful of red-ball games, mostly in Asian conditions.
