Profile Summary
Yash Thakur is a medium-pace bowler who represents Vidarbha in India's domestic circuit. Thakur made his IPL debut in 2023 for the Lucknow Super Giants and had a couple of pretty good seasons while he represented the Giants, taking nearly 25 wickets for the franchise. He was bought by the Punjab Kings for 1.60CR INR during the IPL auctions in Jeddah. Thakur's best bowling spell in IPL was against the Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Cricket Stadium where he claimed a five-wicket haul. Shubman Gill, Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Rahul Tewatia and Noor Ahmad were his scalps in that particular match. Thakur has some good variations, his slower delivery is quite deceptive and he can also play some handy knocks down the order.
