Profile Summary
Mumbai Indians' fascination for talent had them picking up Sharad Lumba for 20 Lakhs INR ahead of IPL 2018. A middle-order batsman, Lumba made his T20 debut for Punjab in 2014 against Haryana. In the presence of a strong middle-order, Lumba's chances have been sparse.
But a valuable knock against Rajasthan in the 2018 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy had the MI team management excited and they decided to back the young man. His strike-rate is nothing much to write home about nor his off-spinning skills are but given the fact that he has come up the ranks by playing every age-level cricket in Punjab, he has hit in him to succeed at the top level.
