Profile Summary
An Indian born Irish international, Simi Singh, is amongst the new-generation cricketers who have been integrated into the national team as a long term investment. Having made his List A and Twenty20 debut for Leinster Lighting, in the 2017 edition of Inter-Provincial Cup, he was named in Ireland's squad for the tri-nation series that also featured New Zealand and Bangladesh later that year.
While Simi Singh hasn't exactly nailed a place in the Irish line-up, his improved bowling has helped him secure more opportunities in the lower middle-order. His bowling came to the fore during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, as he constantly showed ability to take wickets in the middle overs.
