Profile Summary
Manzoor Dar is only the second player ever from Jammu and Kashmir to be picked in the IPL, the first being Parvez Rasool. Young Dar created ripples in the 2018 Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament where he showcased his ability to smash really huge sixes and also chip in with useful medium pacers. His performances bore fruit instantly as the Kings XI Punjab signed him up for the next three IPL seasons in their uncapped quota. A well-built man, Dar used to work as a woodcutter and a watchman initially to meet the ends meet to support his large family. The IPL contract has come as a lifeline both for his family and his cricketing career. A huge fan of MS Dhoni, Dar has modelled his attacking game around the Indian legend and hopes to execute the famous 'helicopter stroke' soon.
