Profile Summary
A left-handed dasher at the top of the order, Tanzid Hasan is viewed as a long-term option by Bangladesh in the limited-overs formats. The start to his international career has been inconsistent, but he has shown glimpses of his potential with knocks like the one against Sri Lanka where he smashed an unbeaten 73 to help Bangladesh register their first series win against the island nation in 2025.
Tanzid was part of the U19 World Cup winning squad in 2020, and made his international debut in the Asia Cup in 2023 against Sri Lanka where he was dismissed for a duck. He had a better beginning in the T20I format, scoring an unbeaten fifty against Zimbabwe in Chattogram. However, the T20 World Cup in 2024 was a tournament to forget for the man from Bogra, much like the ODI World Cup had been a year earlier.
