Profile Summary
Hailing from Rajasthan, Manav Suthar is a classical left-arm orthodox spinner who likes to deceive batters in the flight and by varying his pace. He is also a competent lower-order left-handed batter.
Suthar grabbed a lot of eyeballs during the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy season when he scalped 39 wickets in 6 matches at an average of 20.33. He was the highest wicket-taker of the season for Rajasthan. He also recorded a couple of fifties in the same season.
He was selected for the 2023 ACC Men's Emerging Cup and the southpaw finished as the joint second highest wicket-taker of the competition with 10 wickets in 5 matches at an average of 19.50 and an economy rate of 4.21. Suthar was bought by Gujarat Titans for IPL 2024 where he featured in one match but had a forgettable outing.
Suthar produced a match-winning performance in a Duleep Trophy encounter in 2024 with a seven-for (7/49). GT once again bought him in the 2025 IPL auction for INR 30 lakh.
