Profile Summary
A prodigy right from age group cricket, Dhruv Jurel first caught the limelight in the 2020 U19 World Cup where India managed to reach the finals. Jurel followed that up with two good domestic seasons, after which he was roped in Rajasthan Royals for the 2023 IPL. He played the tricky role of finisher for Rajasthan Royals and impressed in his rookie season with a match winning performance against Punjab Kings.
In February 2024, Jurel was picked for the Test squad and got his chance to debut in Rajkot in place of a faltering KS Bharat. He scored a crucial 90 in just his second Test as India registered a hard fought series win against England. Jurel was impressive in the 2024 IPL season as well, and was retained by Rajasthan ahead of the mega auction.
