Profile Summary
The right-arm speedster first made news when he picked up a fifer against Scotland in the Under-19 WC in 2020. However, he played only two games in that edition. He was fast-tracked into the Pakistan team with his T20I debut happening in 2021 and he was also a member of the 2021 T20 WC. His Test and ODI debut happened in the year after. He has the ability to bowl at a nippy pace and skid it off the deck. Constantly Wasim Junior has been under the shadows of experienced bowlers Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali and it remains to be seen whether Wasim can carve a niche and a permanent place in the side having been in and out of the playing XI frequently since his debut.
