Profile Summary
Travis Dowlin may be an attacking batsman but is remembered as MS Dhoni's first and hitherto only ODI wicket.
Initially Dowlin was named in the squad for the 2007 World Cup but failed to make the final cut. With West Indies' first XI boycotting the home Test series versus Bangladesh over pay issues, Dowlin made his Test debut in July 2009 alongside seven other West Indian newbies. Impressing the selectors, he stamped his ticket for the tour to Australia, where he did reasonably well, compiling a couple of fifties.
After cracking an unbeaten 100 in Bangladesh, he was also picked for the 2009 Champions Trophy in which he chopped a Dhoni delivery onto his stumps. Dowlin soon lost form, which culminated in him being discarded from the setup.
