Profile Summary
Born in Faridabad, Haryana, Mahesh Rawat made his first-class debut at the age of 18 with his state side during the 2003-04 season of the Ranji Trophy. A decent wicket-keeper batsman, Rawat cemented his place in the Haryana side after some good performances early in his career. Later, Rawat went on to represent Railways in the Ranji Trophy.
He also played a few IPL games for Rajasthan Royals for the first two editions of the IPL before being ignored for the next few seasons. He returned in 2013, representing Pune Warriors, but went unsold during the IPL auctions in 2014.
