Profile Summary
An all-rounder from Haryana, Sachin Rana made his first-class debut very early at the age of 20 against Vidarbha in an away game. He had a decent outing as he picked up 5 wickets in the game though not managing many runs with the bat.
The highest point for Rana with the bat in his career thus far has been his unbeaten 163 against Tripura. A handy bowler to have in your side, Rana has helped Haryana perform better with useful all-round contributions.
He has the ability to hit the ball long and hard and hence, he was roped in by the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009. However, he didn't get a game and then moved to Pune Warriors in 2011 where he got one game. Sunrisers Hyderabad signed him in 2013 but again, he was benched throughout the season. Things went Rana's way in the 2014 IPL as he played a considerable number of games for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who bought at the auctions for the seventh edition.
Though he doesn't have a great chance of representing the country at the moment, he continues to play a vital role for Haryana in the domestic circuit.
