Profile Summary
A keeper-batsman, Sushant Marathe came into the spotlight when he led the Mumbai Under-22 team to title victory in the 2007-2008 C.K.Nayudu Trophy. Later in 2011, he was signed up by Kochi Tuskers in the Indian Premier League. After the disbandment of the franchise, Marathe was picked up by Mumbai Indians. He was recently in the news when he cracked an unbeaten 232, the highest ever score in the Kanga League.
With Rohit Sharma ruled out of the 2014 edition of the CLT20 due to injury, Mumbai have named Sushant Marathe as his replacement.
