Profile Summary

A seasoned campaigner, Abrar Kazi is a left-arm spinner and a handy lower-order batsman, who currently plies his trade for Nagaland in the Domestic circuit. Hailing from Bangalore, Kazi played all his cricket for Karnataka in the junior group cricket before elevating to the higher levels. The scouting team of Royal Challengers Bangalore spotted Kazi's talent and drafted him into the team for the fourth season IPL. Making his debut against Rajasthan Royals, Kazi had a forgettable game - conceding 21 runs in 2 overs.

Two years later, Kazi graduated to top honors - making his debut for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy against Vidarbha and struck a crucial 72-run stand for the final wicket with KP Appanna enabling his team to eke out a FIL. The left-arm spinner slammed his maiden ton in First-Class cricket in 2015 but failed to deliver the goods with the ball. Also, the emergence of spinners like Gowtham, Gopal and Suchith saw Kazi slip away from the scene. In 2018, he found a new lease of life when was selected as an outstation player for Nagaland
