Profile Summary

Younger brother of Esuan Crandon, Royston Crandon is a middle order batsman and a offie. Although he was listless in First Class games, Royston was effective in the limited overs formats, more so in T20s. He shot to prominence when he prised out three wickets in the final over of the semi-final versus T&T in the opening season of the Caribbean T20 competition. Guyana kicked on to clinch the tournament. He also represented Guyana in the 2010 World T20 League in South Africa.

Royston got his chance at the international level under dubious circumstances when the West Indies first XI forfeited from the Champions Trophy in 2009/10 because of a contractual issue. In his debut and hitherto final international appearance, Royston could manage just 5 runs before being bowled by Harbhajan Singh.
