Profile Summary
Alasdair Evans is a Scottish cricketer, who made his First-Class debut for the Loughborough UCCE team against Leicestershire in 2009. His ODI debut came in the same year against Canada at the age of 20.
On the back of an impressive CB40 performance in 2012, he earned a Derbyshire contract. Despite picking up 73 wickets in two seasons for the Second XI side, he failed to make a similar impact for the first team. This inconsistency resulted in him being released at the end of 2013.
Evans was not a part of Scotland's World Cup Qualifying squad initially, but his gritty performance in the ODIs against Ireland helped him make his way back into the team. He was impressive in the World Cup acclimatisation tour as well.
