Profile Summary

Mohammad Salim is a wicket-keeper batsman who has been playing first-class cricket since the 2000-2001 season. He was primarily brought into the Bangladesh squad in 2003 to replace Khaled Mashud, who was under enquiry by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. After playing one ODI against South Africa, he was picked up for the two Tests that followed. He scored only 49 runs in 2 games and then was dropped as Mashud returned back to the side.

However, Salim has continued playing for Khulna Division. He has a decent record in first-class cricket. With Mushfiqur Rahim's place strongly cemented in the Bangladesh side, it is highly unlikely that Salim will get to play in the national colours again.
