Profile Summary
Charitha Buddhika is also known as Buddhika Fernando. He is a right-arm fast-bowler who bowls at a lively pace. Being short enables him to skid onto the batsmen. His career was off to a fabulous start, after bowling two no-balls in his debut match, Buddhika struck with his first legitimate delivery. He finished the game with figures of 5/67 which is the second best by a Sri Lankan on debut and fourth best overall.
After performing decently in the 50-over format, Buddhika was picked to play his first Test against West Indies in 2001. However, being inconsistent did not help his cause as he faded away after playing 9 Tests and 17 ODIs. He still remains on the fringes and plays first class cricket for Panadura Sports Club.

After performing decently in the 50-over format, Buddhika was picked to play his first Test against West Indies in 2001.
