Profile Summary
Born in Peshawar, Kabir Khan was a large and strong unit who could bustle in and bowl with good pace. The natural angle cutting across the right-hander made Kabir a difficult proposition to deal with. The left arm fast bowler though could never manage to win the confidence of his selectors and ended up playing only four Tests and 10 ODIs. All his Tests and 9 of his ODIs were away from home and he could never become the force he could have been.
Over a period of 6 years, from 1994-2000, Kabir played only 10 ODIs, vindicating the sparse chances he was presented with. Despite the big built he could not trouble the batsmen much at the international level and fizzled out by the turn of the century. He carried on playing domestic cricket till 2005 before hanging his boots.
