Profile Summary

A stubborn left-handed opening batsman, Adrian Griffith began his Test career in 1997 against Australia. Despite a neat technique Griffith played just 13 more Tests before being perennially ignored. He had an even poor run in ODIs with his strike rate of 55.93 coming under malicious microscopes.

His lone memorable moment arrived in the 1999-00 season when he compiled 114 against New Zealand in the Hamilton Test. After quitting all forms of cricket, Griffith became an ICC Match Referee. In June 2012, he took up the role of of umpires and referees administration manager at the ICC.
