Profile Summary

One of the several fast medium bowlers who played for South Africa in the 1990s, Meyrick Pringle was part of the national team on their readmission as he debuted in the 1992 World Cup. Not overly quick in terms of speed, Pringle had the ability to seam the ball at sharp angles. His skill set was on show during the league game against West Indies, as he produced his career-best figures to nab a Man of the Match award. Unfortunately for him, he could never produce a performance anywhere close to that again. Pringle still held onto his place in the side for a few more years before being dropped in 1995. He barely played any Tests and was mostly considered as a limited-overs specialist. After retirement, he took to coaching Associate nations and also worked in an academy in India. Pringle endured a highly successful time as a coach across his various stints.
