Profile Summary
Aftab Habib's attacking batting earned him a call up to the English side in 1999 after he scored 1000 runs for the season. He played 2 Tests against the visiting Black Caps but eked out only 26 runs. He was dropped from the team but continued to set in motion a string of consistent displays in county cricket. After representing Essex, Middlesex and Leicestershire Habib retired in 2006. The next year he was named Hong Kong coach on a three-year deal.
