Profile Summary
A blink and miss career at the international level, Rizvi played in the era of Saqlain Mushtaq and Mushtaq Ahmed. A toil at domestic level on non-responsive tracks since 1993 to 1999 saw him being a part of the national side only once.
He was handed a Test cap in 1997 against the touring Proteas at Sheikhpura and managed to pick up a couple of wickets - Shaun Pollock and Pat Symcox. However, only one innings in the entire Test could be completed because of torrential rains flooding the venue.
Factoid: Ali Hussain Rizvi might have ended with a single Test to his credit but a certain Mark Boucher also debuted in the same game and went onto rewrite wicket-keeping records.
