Profile Summary
A debut at the age of 18 against the touring English side at Lahore was dream come true for the southpaw but that dream ended before it even saw a dim sunrise. That was the only time one saw of Qaiser at the international level.
He had made his debut at the domestic level in the 1999-00 season and was drafted in for a Test debut soon after. His blink and miss date at the international arena though didn't deter him from performing at the first-class level. A handy slow left-armer, Abbas chips in as a more than utility cricketer for his side.
Pakistan and their muddled selection policies have always been questionable and Qaiser too fell prey to that.
