Profile Summary

Much like Imtiaz Ali, Albert Padmore was born in the wrong era - that of Michael Holding, Bernard Julien, Andy Robers and the likes. Nearly 4 years after his first-class debut, Padmore has given his Test debut against India in 1976. He gained just a solitary wicket but exhibited good control. Sadly, he played only one more Test before being perennially ignored. Then, he ventured into Kerry Packers' World Series cricket in 1977, and subsequently copped a life ban for joining a rebel tour to South Africa.
