Profile Summary
An all-rounder who can bowl both off spin and medium pace, Lamb made his name with Hampshire before returning to Zimbabwe. Lamb was signed up by Hampshire after he had represented his country at under-12, under-15 and under-19 levels. He played for the winning Hampshire side in the 2005 C&G trophy final against Warwickshire at Lord's.
Lamb remained on the fringes of Hampshire as his regular appearances dwindled. His form deserted him and after a miserable season in 2007, he was selected to play only ODIs in 2008. He was released by Hampshire in 2009 after the end of the season, a season which saw him not featuring in any game in any format and decided to head back to Zimbabwe.
That move turned out to be a good one as he was selected to play for the national side against West Indies in an ODI. He also featured in Zimbabwe's squad for the 2011 World Cup held in the sub-continent. An useful lower order batsman, Lamb is a hard customer to dislodge when he is set. He has a very good technique and can hang around to contribute useful cameos down the order.
