Profile Summary
Hailing from Gujarat, Bhargav Bhatt made his first-class debut with Baroda during the 2009-10 Ranji Trophy season. He performed extremely well with the ball in the next season and bagged 47 wickets to become the leading wicket-taker for the side. This feat earned him an IPL contract with Kings XI Punjab in 2011, for whom he played a few matches until 2013.
He has been a regular member of the Baroda Ranji side, though he has been dropped on a few occasion due to lack of performances. However, he is considered as a fine left-arm orthodox bowler, who can bowl wicket to wicket on a consistent basis. His best bowling performance in first-class cricket came against West Indies A when he picked up 7/113 in an innings.
