Profile Summary
A right-handed top-order batsman, Mohammed Nazimuddin Ahmed, made his first-class debut at the age of 16 for Chittagong Division in the 2000-2001 season. Consistent performances soon earned him a place in the Under-19 and A teams. His performance against England A in 2007 prompted a call-up to the national side. He performed well in the T20 World Championship and smashed 81 against Pakistan.
However, he could not replicate his success in the ODIs. Less than a year later in 2008, he joined the rebel ICL and was handed a 10-year ban by the BCB. He quit after one season. Two years later, he made his Test debut against Pakistan in 2011. He played only 3 Tests and was marginally impressive. Although, he has not been included in the national squad for the past 2 years, he continues to feature in first-class and List A cricket.
