Profile Summary

Zimbabwe-born Adam Rouse is a wicket-keeper batsman who plays for Kent in the absence of regular keeper, Sam Billings. Having played at the Under-19 level for England, Rouse has traversed across several counties in search of opportunities.

Having moved with his family from Zimbabwe to England at the age of ten, Rouse was first scouted and offered an opportunity at the Hampshire academy. He made it to the main team, but the joy was short-lived as he was released at the end of the 2013 season. It was followed by another spell, this time with Gloucestershire, before Rouse joined Kent as Sam Billings' understudy in 2015, gaining a full-contract in 2016.

Billings's commitment with England as well as the IPL meant that Rouse has had better opportunities to shine for Kent, although he's proven himself good enough to play as a specialist middle-order batsman.
