Profile Summary

Kavem Hodge, a right-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox bowler represented Windies in the 2012 under-19 World Cup. In the same year, he made his debut for Windward Island. He hasn't been able to make an impact with his bat and has only featured in 22 first-class-matches in a span of 6 years.

He was selected in the West Indies B team in the global T-20 tournament and his performance there earned him a CPL contract for St. Lucia stars. He hasn't done anything substantial for Stars in the opportunities that he has received.

Hodge had to grind it out in the domestic circuit for a long time, before getting his first call up in December 2020 for a tour to Bangladesh. However, Hodge didn’t get a chance in that series, and had to wait till December, 2023 for his debut in Adelaide against Australia. His crowning moment in Test cricket came in July, 2024 when he scored his maiden Test century at Trent Bridge against England, taking on daunting bowlers like Mark Wood, Chris Woakes and Gus Atkinson. Despite being on the wrong side of 30, Hodge is fairly young in his Test career having played just a handful of games so far for West Indies.
