Profile Summary
Born in Razole, a small village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, Bandaru Ayyapa has flourished over the years ever since making his first-class debut for Andhra in 2013. He was in the news recently after Delhi capitals signed him up in the auctions ahead of the 2019 season. One of the promising fast bowlers in the Indian domestic circuit, Ayyapa is a quick learner and he's grown onto to lead the pace attack of Andhra. Having made his debut in 2013, the 23-year old pacer has shown immense potential in the last few seasons and his exhilarating spell of 6/71 blew away Mumbai as Andhra eked out come-from-behind first innings lead in the 2015/16 Ranji season. The pacer lost his rhythm after a successful year and ended up losing his spot in the state team. He beefed up his fitness levels and came back strongly this year bagging 12 wickets in 5 matches. He will be representing Delhi Capitals in IPL 2019.
