Profile Summary
A net bowler for Punjab Kings for a few seasons, Baltej Singh finally made the transition to the other side of the squad when he was picked at the 2022 player auctions. Baltej has been retained for 2023 though is yet to make an appearance in the IPL, as of April 2023.
The tall pacer from Ludhiana, Punjab made a name for himself as a man for the long haul. He is known to bowl lengthy spells in red ball cricket, and take the onus on himself with the old ball. Despite stiff competition for places as a pacer in the Punjab setup, Baltej Singh has carved a position for himself and has been a fairly regular feature in their side since his debut in 2016. Baltej Singh has been a consistent, bankable player for Punjab but has so far not managed to break the glass ceiling onto bigger and better things.
